with its unique format that has attracted the likes of world class actors in its starring roles, including Elizabeth Taylor, Jerry Hall, Kathleen Turner, Christopher Reeve,
Mel Gibson, Sissy Spacek, William Hurt and Lynn Redgrave. This colourful exploration of a lifelong friendship between two people became a Broadway hit
for both its stellar lineup and the spectacular quality of the playwright’s work.
Childhood friends Melissa Gardner and Andy Ladd begin writing to each other with tentative holiday postcards, birthday invitations and thank you letters.
As their lives move on, they stay in touch through a series of letters that explore their blossoming hopes for romance as well as their changing fortunes. Through 50 years of laughter, pain, unions and estrangements, the bond between Andy and Melissa remains unbreakable.
